Description
1 Johnny L. Miller appeals pro se from orders denying his WIS. STAT. § 974.06 (2003-04) motion. Miller claims the trial court erred in ruling that his claims are procedurally barred by State v. Escalona-Naranjo, 185 Wis. 2d 168, 517 N.W.2d 157 (1994) and State v. Tillman, 2005 WI App 71, 281 Wis. 2d 157, 696 N.W.2d 574. He argues that his right to a speedy trial was violated and that his post-conviction counsels ineffective assistance acts as a sufficient reason for failing to previously raise this issue. Because Millers direct appeal proceeded through this court via the no-merit procedure, wherein this court concluded that there were no meritorious issues for review, we conclude that the trial court did not err in ruling that Miller is procedurally barred from raising the claims in this appeal. Accordingly, we affirm.
